Laundry
	
	Today I shall launder the towels,
	lay down upon them and dream
	clean dreams. In this
	place the sky is crisp as apples
	the women
	content; white
	sheets ripple like a national flag.
	In this
	place nothing is indelible;
	the rites of soap
	genteel and acid
	unburden me, 
	a second baptism.
